east lancs railway, 05th july 2007

the one day i had availiable to visit the east lancs railway. thanks to matt parker for telling me about the event, which is a week long diesel gala.
i had a great day, and got my first ever photographs of a hymek. the locos in this set of pictures are; diesel hyraulics; warship d832 'onslaught; d1015 western champian and hymek d7076. then the sulzers; d5310, 26024, 45135 and 47402 'gateshead'.
most shots were taken at irwell vale station in the countryside, but shots were also taken at both ends of ramsbottom and rawtenstall stations.
it must be said that if it was sunny that would have ruined many photos, the poor weather allowed shots to be taken from both sides of the line.
i'd like to thank the staff and volunteers for making the event possible and look forward to my next visit.
